Out Williamsburg Academy
The Dillon Christian School Warriors Girls edged Williamsburg Academy 40-37 in varsity basketball action played on Friday, Dec. 9, at Williamsburg Academy.
Sam Carpenter led the Warriors in scoring with 16 points. Anna Thompson connected for 8 points and Lizzie Outlar added 6 in the win. Sarah Freeman scored 4 points while Sara Bass had 3. Anna Brown added another point in the win for the Warriors.
The Warriors played Scotland Christian on Monday, Dec. 12, at Scotland Christian.

DCS Varsity Boys Defeat
Williamsburg Academy
The Dillon Christian School Warriors Varsity Boys defeated Williamsburg Academy 63-56 in basketball action played Friday, Dec. 9, at Williamsburg Academy.
Demontez Alford led the Warriors in scoring with 16 points. Ross Carlyle put 14 on the scoreboard for the Warriors while Diaz Alexander added 13 followed by Jackson Wolfe who connected for 12 points. Michael  Minges tossed in 4 points in the win while Luke Price and Kyle Floyd each added 2 points.
The Warriors traveled to Scotland Christian for a game on Monday, Dec. 12.

Walt Bailey Leads In Scoring

Walt Bailey led in scoring with 19 points as the Dillon Christian School Warriors JV Boys defeated The Scotland Christian Academy 51-22 in a basketball game played in Laurinburg on Monday, Dec. 12.
Jacob Dubose pumped in 8 points while Ian Bethea added another 7 for the Warriors. Josh Brown added 5 points, and Zane Caughill contributed 4 in the win. Jason Chen, Hunter McDuffie, Gage Hunt, and Andrew Patterson each picked up 2 points.
The Warriors return to action on Friday, Dec. 16, at home against King’s Academy.

23 Points Against Scotland

Sam Carpenter pumped in 23 points in the 52-16 victory against the Scotland Christian Academy in varsity basketball action played Monday, Dec. 12, in Laurinburg.
The Warriors Anna Thompson added 13 in the victory while Lizzie Outlar contributed 10. Sarah Stone, Anna Brown, and Katelyn Thompson each picked up 2 points for the Lady Warriors to help seal the win.
The Lady Warriors will be in action against King’s Academy on Friday, Dec. 16, at home.

Demontez Alford Leads
Warrions To Victory
The Dillon Christian School Warriors boys varsity basketball team defeated Scotland Christian Academy 63-30 on Monday, Dec. 12, in Laurinburg.
Demontez Alford led the Warriors with 18 points. Diaz Alexander added 13 points while Ross Carlyle and Michael Minges each pumped in 10 points in the win. Jackson Wolfe contributed 7 points in the win for the Warriors. John Rourke, Kyle Floyd, and Gage Bazemore each added 2 points while Luke Price connected for 1 point.
You are encouraged to attend the last game before the Christmas break to be played on Friday, Dec. 16, in Dillon at the Warriors’ home courts against King’s Academy.

Lady Vikings Win
The Latta Lady Vikings defeated Johnsonville 50-32 in varsity basketball action on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Latta.
Latta’s Riana Green led all scorers with 24 points plus she had 8 steals, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds.
Moya McDuffie added 10 points in the win for Latta. James connected for 7, Arica Gandy added 4, Graham hit for 2, and Lewis contributed 1 point for Latta in the victory.
D’Ashia Cooper led Johnsonville with 17 points followed by Dollard who connected for 6, Wilson added 4, Thompson and Graham each had 2, and Lewis added another point.
Latta is now 2-2 for the season and 1-0 in Region 7-2A.
Latta played Lake View on Wednesday, Dec. 14, in Lake View.
