The Hannah-Pamplico varsity basketball girls returned home on Friday from Latta, January 4, after losing 55-22 to the Lady Vikings.
The Vikings led 13-10 after the first period of play. By halftime the lead was 16 points, 28-12. After 3 periods of play, Latta was up 49-16.
Latta committed 6 fouls in the first half while Hannah-Pamplico committed 7. Latta picked up 8 fouls in the second half while Hannah-Pamplico committed only 5.
Moya McDuffie led the Lady Vikings with 27 total points of which she connected on four 3-point shots, six 2-point shots, and 3 free throws. Ri’Ana Green added 11 pints with five 2-pointers and 1 free throw. Rayne Nolan, Kadaisha Wheeler, and Dasha Burdsall each added 4 points while Eziara Grice scored 3 points. Joy Berry added another basket for Latta.
Maddy Boyle led Hannah-Pamplico with 9 pints. W. Peterson added 5 points wile Sarah Calcutt connected for 4 points. Hailey Rogers contributed 3 points, and E. Watkins placed another point on the scoreboard.
Latta will travel to Carvers Bay today (Tuesday, January 8).
