The Dillon Lady Wildcats were victorious 37-21 over the visiting Aynor Lady Blue Jackets on Monday, January 25.
After the first period of play, Coach James McMillian’s Lady Wildcats were up 8-2. By halftime, the Lady Wildcats were ahead 13-7. After 3 periods of play, Dillon was up 25-11.
Dillon was led in scoring by Rhanyai Frazier with 10 points with four 2-point baskets and 2 free throws, and Mariah Campbell with 10 points on a 3-point basket, a 2-point basket, and 5 free throws. Kamirah James sank a 3-point basket, a 2-point basket, and 3 free throws to place 8 points on the scoreboard. Alyse Hines added 7 points with a 3-point basket and two 2-point baskets. Rachel Simms connected on a 2-point basket.
Aynor’s Peyton Rabon connected for 13 points. He sank three 3-point baskets, a 2-point basket, and 2 free throws. Shayna Alston hit a 3-point shot while Kimora S. and Mary S. each sank a 2-point basket. Lainey Squires sank a free throw.
Dillon committed 4 fouls in the first half and 5 fouls in the second half while Aynor committed 8 fouls in the first half and 4 fouls in the second half.
