A woman is dead after a shooting in the city on October 8th. On October 8, 2021 approximately 11:58 p.m. in the city of Dillon, Sgt. Day was at the hospital when Central dispatch advised they have a call in reference to shots fired on North 14th Avenue.
Approximately one minute later a vehicle pulled up to the hospital with a person who had been shot sitting in the front passenger seat.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified Zenna Ann Bethea, a 26-year-old black female from Dillon. was involved in a shooting incident in the city. The body will be sent for an autopsy in Charleston to determine the manner and cause of death.
