Sheriff Douglas Pernell and the Dillon County Sheriff’s Deputies are in the Oakland area this Thursday afternoon passing out flyers and seeking information on the death of James McLean of Dillon. A $3,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the incident. On October 31, 2021, deputies responded to a call at Oakland Road and Pine Needle Court in reference to a person with a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, deputies located a silver Dodge Ram with a male victim with a gunshot wound, who was deceased.
