Latta’s golf team won the Region 8-A title on Tuesday, April 19, with a win over Johnsonville at Twin Lakes.

Latta’s Michael McWhite shot a 39 for top Medalist honors as Latta finished with a team score of 175. Aaron Gardner shot a 41, Mason Richardson shot 46, and Smith Gaddy shot a 49.

Johnsonville finished with a team score of 213, with Boone Mace shooting a 47; Tyler Watts, 48; Christian Owens, 55; and Gavin Cribb, 63.
Latta’s record is 8-3 overall this season.

Latta’s Michael McWhite, Aaron Gardner, and Mason Richardson were all named to the All Region 8-A team, as were Johnsonville’s Boone Mace and Tyler Watts.

The Class A Golf State Finals are scheduled for May 2 and 3 at Chesterfield Golf Club with Chesterfield High School as the host school.
