Services for Louise Coleman will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in Catfish Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Monday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Coleman, 96, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Mullins Nursing Center.
Born in Marion County, July 30, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Furman Shelley and Lula Atkinson Shelley. She was a member of Catfish Creek Baptist Church, and was the widow of the late Harold Coleman.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce (Terry) Kennedy of Pamplico, Gayle (Carl) Edwards of Latta, and Nancy (Roger) Reece of Murrells Inlet; son, Harold (Sylvia) Coleman, Jr. of Marion; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her daughters, Polly Virginia Coleman, and Jean (Bill) Young; and her sisters, Lethea Gerald, Nina Atkinson, and Bernice Brown Rich.
