Wanda Gail Rogers Sawyer, 62, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at her home after a brief illness.
Gail was born May 5, 1949 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ila Lewis Rogers. She was employed with McLeod Hospital in Dillon. She was a graduate of Mullins High School. Gail attended Lake View First Baptist Church.
Surviving Gail are: a Son: Jamie (Audra) Sawyer of Lake View; 2 Grandchildren: Skylar Sawyer and Kristin Sawyer; 2 Brothers: Earl (Pat) Rogers of Mullins and Danny (Karen) Rogers of Centerville, Tn.; 3 Sisters: Lucille (Milton) Fowler of Greenwood, Lois (Woody) Sawyer of Mullins and Cecil Jean (David) Tyler of Marion; her former husband: Franklin Sawyer of Mullins; and several nieces and nephews.
Gail was predeceased by a sister, Grace Rogers Avant.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 30 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Wayne Tyler officiating. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
