Services for Mary Frances Wilkes Allen was held 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation was held 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial was held 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Florence National Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen, 79, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Marlboro County, she was the daughter of the late James Wilkes and Elizabeth Davis Wilkes. She attended New Vision Church of God, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Joseph Amos Allen of Dillon; daughter, Frances Allen Hernandez of Dillon; sons, Kenneth Amos Allen, and Michael Earl (Kathy) Allen, both of Dillon; grandchildren, Leslie Frances Hernandez and Brandon Michael Allen; brother, Carl Wilkes of Bennettsville; sisters, Ethel Todd of Bennettsville, and Dora Puleo of Supply, NC.
