Memorial services for Peggy Kirby Stafford will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Dillon First Baptist Church directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stafford, 73, died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Dillon County, July 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Duncan Kirby and Leona Herring Kirby. She was a member of Dillon First Baptist Church where she taught sunday school, and was a retired school administrator with Dillon School District II.
Survivors include her son, Richard Francis Stafford, Jr.; daughter, Gwendolyn Neil Stafford Bell (Lt. Col. ret. James A.); grandchildren, Katerina Neil Stafford, Sofiya Francis Stafford, Todd Bell, and Ashley Bell; and her friend, Jerry Poston.
Mrs. Stafford was preceded in death by her husband, Dickie Stafford; brothers, J.D. Kirby, Franklin Kirby, and Horace Timmon Kirby; and her sister, Rebecca (Joseph) Beaver.
