Stewart Heights held its annual Spelling Bee under the direction of Ruthann Wooten, teacher librarian, on Tuesday, March 6.
Twelve students competed for the school title. Each classroom winner competed for the grade level title and then grade level winners competed for the school title.
Winners were announced after the competition and prizes were awarded.
Each classroom winner received a certificate, book and school supplies in recognition.
Grade level winners received personalized certificates and monetary awards compliments of the school’s P.T.O.
The first place winner, Jayla Goodwin, received $25, the second place winner, Nya Long, received $1, and the third place winner, Quentasia McKellar, received $10.
