The Bingham Kids Reunion was held on Saturday, April 28th at the Manning Chapel Methodist Church in Bingham.
As the children played, the older folks were reminiscing and placing names with faces.
This was the first time in 50 years that everyone had been together as the “Bingham Kids.” There were 160 people in attendance. We all gathered for a blessing from Pastor Mike Summerlin of Dillon. There was much food, and everyone enjoyed the meal while talking about the “good ole times” in Bingham. When everyone registered their names were placed in a drawing for cash, gift cards, and an 18-layer chocolate cake. Mrs. Agnes Polston was the winner of a $500 drawing. A memorial celebration was held for those who had passed away in the last 50 years. Mrs. Marie Grice Hardy read the names, and balloons were released in their memory.
The weather was beautiful, and everyone had a wonderful time. It was such as big success that everyone is looking forward to it again in 2013.
