On November 8, 2012, the Mary Livermore Library will be celebrating the University’s 100th Anniversary with a panel discussion about the lives and achievements of two extraordinary UNCP men: James K. Braboy and Dr. English Jones. The event will be held in the main reading room of the Library at 7 p.m. Guest panelists for the evening will be Carley Wiggins, Dillon, SC, a Freelance writer for The Dillon Herald and a Braboy biographer; Vanessa Barfield McIntyre, Dillon, SC, a former student of James Braboy; Randall S. Jones, the son of Dr. English Jones; Dr. Charles R. Jenkins, a former UNCP Chancellor; and Bruce Barton, a former editor of the Carolina Indian Voice newspaper.
