Douglas Arthur McIntyre, 55, of Marshville, North Carolina died at his home on June 29, 2013. He was born in Dillon, South Carolina on March 1, 1958. He was son of the late Gus McIntyre Jr. and Doris Price (McIntyre) Benton, stepson of Thomas Frazier Benton.

Doug graduated Dillon High School class of 1976 and received an associate paralegal degree from Florence Darlington Tech and a BA in Business Administration at Limestone College.

Doug is survived by wife Cecilia White McIntyre and daughter Anna Gabriella McIntyre of Marshville, North Carolina; brother, William Carlton Benton (Pamela) of Dillon, South Carolina; sisters, Tammy Benton Berry (Cleve) of Marion , South Carolina; Angela McIntyre Nelson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: cousins Joey Arthur Price and Linda Carol Price.

As he wished Doug was cremated. The Memorial Service, conducted by Reverend John Bryant will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Dillon Congregational Holiness Church followed by burial at Riverside Cemetery. Prior to the service the family will receive from 2:00 to 3:00 PM for those who wish to visit. Services are directed by Cooper Funeral Home.

Doug was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Monroe, North Carolina and a long time employee and Chief Operating Officer of Security Management of South Carolina. He was also a member of Shandon Lodge No. 370, A. F. M. and Jamil Temple.

Doug loved and was loved by many and will be missed by all.
