Mr. Richard Elvington passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at his residence in Fort Worth, Texas.
 
A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 7, 2013 at 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View, with burial to follow at Lake View Perpetual Cemetery, directed by Cooke Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at Lake View First Baptist Church.
 
Mr. Elvington was born in Marion County, the son of Robert H. (Bobby) and Sara King Elvington. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, where he served for over 17 years.
 
Surviving Mr. Elvington are his wife, Darla Elvington and daughters, Amber, Kaylee and Carla, of Abilene, Texas; his parents, Bobby and Sara Elvington; his brother, Robin (Joann) Elvington; and two nieces, Abigail and Sarah Ruth Elvington.
