Edith Mumford Wise, 90, of Latta, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013.
Born May 30, 1923, in Marlboro County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Mumford and Meta Louvinia Petty Mumford.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Calhoun Wise, Sr. and their son, Kenneth Carroll Wise.  Mrs. Wise was a homemaker and loving mother.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty L. (Douglas) Peacock of Blenheim, Ellen W. Jones of Florence and Jean W. Peacock of Florence;  sons, Robert C. Wise, Jr. of Sunset Beach, N.C., Ray (Lynn) Wise of Latta, Warren L. Wise of Mount Pleasant, J. Kelly Wise of Latta, and Donald B. Wise of Clio;  12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 in Cooper Funeral Home, 209 Black Branch Road in Dillon.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 9, 2013, at Bethesda Southern Methodist Church in Oak Grove.  Officiating will be Pastor Carl Freeman.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
