Alpha Alpha Chapter, Dillon, sponsored David Thompson and Julius Saunders in the South Carolina State Council of Alpha Pi Chi National Sorority’s Annual Talent-a-Rama Contest which was held in Darlington, recently.
The Talent-a-Rama is a state’s teens program which focuses on teen talent; participants are representatives from South Carolina Chapters of Alpha Pi Chi National Sorority.
Both David and Julius displayed excellent talent in Darlington. David Thompson’s talent, a guitar rendition of “Someone Like You” by Adele won first place in the Talent-a-Rama competition. Julius Saunders performed an oration entitled, “Sunrise of a New Spirit,” written by the late James C. Crawford who was a deacon at Manning Baptist Church. David Thompson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andre’ Thompson. He plans to attend the University of South Carolina in the fall and major in Industrial Engineer.
Julius Saunders is the son of Mrs. Marian and Rafael Saunders. Julius Saunders will attend college and will study accounting.
David Thompson and Julius Saunders are both seniors at Dillon High School.
Magnolia T. Williams is the president of the local chapter, Alpha Alpha.
