Ethel Taylor was elected as the chairperson of the Dillon District Four School Board.
Taylor has served on the board for 21 years.
Taylor was nominated by Fitzgerald Lytch, the current chairman, and elected unanimously by all members present.
Earl Gleason, Jr. was elected as vice-chairman.
Burt Rogers was elected treasurer.
At the end of the meeting, Lytch announced that he was resigning from the board after 24 years of service. He said he felt it was time.
Taylor’s first meeting as chairperson will be in June.
