A man has been charged with armed robbery in connection with a robbery at First Bank on East Monroe Street on June 4th, according to a report by the City of Dillon Police Department.
George Ewing Taylor, age 76, has been charged with armed robbery, according to the Dillon County Detention Center.
According to the report, the complainant said the man entered the bank, waited his turn in line, handed the teller a bag, and told the teller to fill the bag with money. The teller asked the man what he really wanted, and he again demanded money. The man left in a vehicle and was followed by one of the victims. Police approached the vehicle, and the man gave one of the officers a bag with the money. The man was arrested, and his vehicle was towed.
Participating officers named in the report included First Sergeant Ryan Berry, LCPL Joshua M. Kasson, Investigator Jason Turner, and Investigator James Hayes.
