At its quarterly meeting, the Pee Dee Land Trust, the region’s only land trust dedicated to our region, elected Dillon’s own Douglas Lynn as its Secretary/Treasurer for the coming biennium. Lynn, the Vice President of Dillon Tractor and Implement Company, will begin his service on July 1st.

Lynn also serves on several boards and commissions in his hometown of Dillon. A graduate of Clemson, he is a member of the McLeod Health Dillon Advisory Board, the City of Dillon Tree Committee, and the First Bank Advisory Board. He also serves as Assistant Scout Leader of Dillon Boy Scout Troop 761. Lynn is married to Valerie and has two sons, Jack and William.
Also elected at the meeting were Buddy Brand and Tim Dargan, as chairman and vice-chairman, respectively.
Lynn takes the reigns as Secretary/Treasurer from Jeff Dudley, who has retired from the Pee Dee Land Trust Board after two full terms as a member representing Marlboro County.
Founded in 1998, the Pee Dee Land Trust works in the nine counties that touch the Great Pee Dee River in South Carolina: Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, Marlboro, and Williamsburg.
