Ruth Berry Harrelson, 94, of Caratoke Highway, Moyock, NC, died Monday, June 16, 2014 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Chesapeake, VA.
Mrs. Harrelson was born in Dillon County, SC, and was the daughter of the late Andrew Frank and Sue Coward Berry.  A retired business owner, waitress, and cashier, she attended Moyock Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Timothy Harrelson, a sister, Nan Moody, and a brother, Henry Berry.
Surviving are her son, Henry A. “Hank” Harrelson and wife Connie of Moyock; two granddaughters, Lindsey H. Cahoon and husband Nick and Melissa E. Harrelson; and a great-grandson, Cameron Cahoon.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m. in Moyock Baptist Church by the Rev. Vic Ramsey.  A private burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon, SC.  Friends may join the family in the church fellowship hall immediately following the services on Friday, and all other times at Hank and Connie’s home, 147 Caratoke Hwy, Moyock.  Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
