Services for Leon (Lee) Hyatt, Jr. will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Second Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Hyatt, 74, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2014.
Born in Dillon County, SC, May 5, 1940, he was the son of the late Raymond Hyatt and Lillie Cook Hyatt. He attended Second Baptist Church, and was a retired business owner.
Survivors include his wife, Linda McKenzie Hyatt of Dillon; children, Allisidy R. Hyatt of Dillon, Jonathan D. Cooper of Dillon, Linda (Missy) Hammond (Tony) of Loris, SC, Lisa M. Cooper and Jacklyn C. Hunt; grandchildren, Ashley Lauren (Myers) Hyatt, Jon M. Hammond, Britany Hammond, Tony A. Hammond, Joshua Dean, Brooke Dean, Alex J. Carter, Matthew Hunt, McKenna Hunt, and Bailee R. Graham; great-grandchildren, Ayden Legrande Myers & Liam (Lee) Zane Myers; brother, Oliver Hyatt of Laurinburg, NC; sisters, Roxie (Rudolph) Caulder of Dillon, Carolyn Powell of Laurinburg, and Eva Lovelace of Sumter; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hyatt was preceded in death by his son, Tony Lee Hyatt; brothers and sisters, Linda H. Herring, Ima H. Graves, Edward Hyatt, Archie Hyatt, Jake Hyatt, and Robert Hyatt.
