Carey “Bucky” “Snakeman” Rogers, III, 57, died Friday, August 15, 2014 at Agape Senior of Conway. He was born August 14, 1957 in Savannah, GA, son of Angelina Brady and the late Carey E Rogers Jr.
He was predeceased by a son, Carey E. Rogers IV.
Bucky was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to all he met. He enjoyed camping, riding horses, riding motorcycles for charity benefits, and helping people in need. He got the name Snakeman because law enforcement and others would call him when a snake needed to be removed.
Bucky is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Cindy Sharp Rogers; one son, Timothy Lee Rogers of Dillon; one daughter, Mary Grace Smith (Joel) of Fayetteville NC; two grandchildren, Carey Rogers and Anna Daniel, his brother, five sisters, and many other friends and family, who will miss him.
A Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Rogers at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 405 Mount Calvary Road, Dillon, SC at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2014.
