
Lake View’s Wild Gators opened their regular season on Friday night with a 37-6 win over the Scott’s Branch Eagles.
Lake View got their first touchdown in the first quarter on an 18-yard run from Anthony Bines, and Bines ran in the extra points for an 8-0 lead. Bines followed up in the second with a 21-yard run and Korey Page ran in the conversion to put Lake View up 16-0. With less than five minutes remaining in the first half, Christian McDaniel scored on a 37-yard run and Weston Rogers ran for the extra points.
Lake View continued to dominate in the second half with Reco Brown scoring on a 15 yard run. Hamza Al-Sardiah kicked the extra point, and with 36 seconds left in the quarter, Randall Washington scored again on a 15-yard run.
Scott’s Branch scored their only run in the fourth with a five-yard touchdown.
Christian McDaniel led Lake View with 120 yards rushing on seven carries. De’Ante Bridget rushed eight times for 72 yards; Korey Page rushed seven times for 56 yards; Anthony Bines gained 58 yards on eight carries; and Reco Brown carried three times for 49 yards.
Lake View starts the season with a 1-0 record as they prepare to face the Class 2A Dillon Wildcats this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
