First Responders were honored and 9-11-01 was remembered on Thursday night.
An appreciation meal was held for First Responders and their families at the City of Dillon Wellness Center. Afterwards, a brief program was held. Haywood Proctor played “God Bless The USA” while there was silent prayer, and then he prayed. Barbara Causey sang the national anthem. This was followed by remarks from Judge James Lockemy who spoke about 9-11-01 and the importance of First Responders.
The program concluded with remarks and prayer by Dillon County Sheriff Major Hulon.
