McLeod Medical Center Dillon is pleased to announce that Carnella McCutcheon Hickson, RN, has been named Director of the Adult and Pediatric Medical/Surgical Units.  
Carnella has been a registered nurse since 2004.  She has been employed by the McLeod Health system since 2002 where she most recently served as a Patient Care Supervisor at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.
Carnella chose a career at McLeod Health because of her experience as a student nurse at the organization.  “I had an excellent learning experience at McLeod. I saw first-hand the focus on quality and knew that it aligned with my goals as a nurse. I also saw many opportunities for growth,” said Carnella.  “In this new leadership capacity, I am excited about the opportunity for professional growth.”
Carnella chose a career in nursing because of her love of caring for others and being able to make a difference in their lives.  “I look forward to being part of the McLeod Dillon team – one that is recognized for patient-centered care.  Work in this type of setting is rewarding both personally and professionally,” said Carnella.  “I also want this to be a growth experience for myself and others that are involved in the care of the patients in these units.”
Carnella and her husband Billy have two children, Alexandria McCutcheon (20 years old) and Jasmine Seymone McCutcheon (19 years old).  She is a native of Lake City, SC and enjoys singing, traveling, and watching horror movies.
