Marlboro Electric is offering an all-expense paid educational trip to Washington, D.C., June 13–18 for two area high school juniors in Marlboro or Dillon counties.
Students selected for the Washington Youth Tour meet their congressmen, visit historic sites and take part in special Youth Tour programs with juniors from across the country. They have an opportunity for a $5,000 college scholarship.
Interested? Apply by Jan. 31. In addition, S.C. high school teachers and guidance counselors can apply to serve as chaperones on the Youth Tour alongside co-op employees.
Chaperones’ costs for transportation, hotel room, exhibit admissions and three meals a day are covered. Educators should apply by Feb. 2.
