Services for Rogers Kelly English, Sr. will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial with full military honors will be held at Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
     Mr. English, 88, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
     Born in Marlboro County, SC, April 9, 1926, he was the son of the late Robert David English and Emily Rogers English.  He was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran having served in World War II, and the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of Second Baptist Church, and was the Manager at Mary’s Motel for 26 years, 1961-1985.  
     Survivors include his children, Rogers Kelly English, Jr. of Valdosta, GA, B. Diane Sherley (Jim) of Ray City, GA, Terry Hayes (Levern) of Dillon, Richard K. English (Jennifer) of the Middle East, Fred English of Paonia, CO, and Dennis English of Clifton, CO; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.
     Mr. English was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Mae “Rachel” English; and his son, John Percy Hardman.
