Mr. Sammy Joe Horne died Wednesday, March 04, 2015 at McLeod Medical Center of Dillon after an illness.
 
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Lake View with burial to follow at Lake View Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday March 6, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Cooke Funeral Home prior to the funeral service
 
Mr. Horne was born in Marion County, the son of the late James Everette and Grace King Horne. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake View.
 
Mr. Horne is survived by his sister, Judy Horne Hyatt (Pete) of Dillon; a brother, Tony Horne (Martha) of Lake View; and several nieces and nephews.
 
Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his sisters, Violet Cox and Alma Hooks; brothers, James Michael Horne and Billy K. Horne.
