Services for Joyce A. Carter will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carter, 78, died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Carolina’s Hospital System in Marion.
Born in Marion County, SC, July 6, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Cleve Junior Sweat and Gertrude Lane Sweat.
Survivors include her sons, Wyman Carter, Robert Carter, and Earlin Carter, all of Dillon; sisters, Earline Owens of Dillon, Patricia Sweat of Florence, Dorothy Caulder and Betty Sweat, both of Dillon; brothers, Carlos Sweat, Danny Ray Sweat, and Bobby Sweat, all of Dillon; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Carter.
