Michael Eugene Clonch, 61, died Thursday, April 2, 2015 of a heart attack at Thorne’s Retirement Home in Lake View, SC, where he was a recent resident. He was a life long member of the Lake View community as he is preceded in death by his mother, Colleen Clonch and brother, Don Clonch.
Mike had a generous spirit and loved to laugh, and shag dancing down at the beach. He had a talent for story telling and enjoyed being around fast horses and good friends.
Mike was a proud member of the 1970 and 1971 Lake View Gator State champion football teams.  An athletic passion he passed down to his son that survives him, US Navy Chief Petty Officer Michael Chad Clonch and his wife Scarlett and their two children Brock and Violett of Virginia Beach.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Lake View Cemetery on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 10:00am.  Any donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Lake View.
