Services for Margaret Belle Bryant was held 3:00 p.m. Monday at Dillon Congregational Holiness Church with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
Joseph Amos Allen, 93, died on May 9, 2015 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Services for Martha Herring Thornton will be held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
After stopping to one of my favorite businesses (the convenience store on the corner of Main Street and Lockemy Highway in New Town) to fill my truck up with gas and to get a mug of the best coffee (of which I am hooked on) I have ever tasted.

I passed by the building that was our Dear Walls of Columbus High School, part of the building was being torn down. I saw the dump truck hauling the walls away.
