Cancer Survivor Loses Battle

A few days after this article originally ran, we had Relay For Life 2011.  When we met at the field to select campsites, I was very surprised that I was the second person there.  Dwight was there waiting for us.  I had no idea that he would be there, given his recent surgery.

Lunch Bunch Meets

Thirty-six Dillon Middle School students met in the school’s media center for lunch and a discussion of the book The Running Dream by Wendelin van Draanen, which they had all read.

Seat Belts Save Lives

Some 40,000 people die each year in car crashes, the leading cause of death for people age 3 through 34. Seat belts can prevent fatalities in about half of these crashes.
