First Bank has named George Webster Branch Manager of the Dillon region.
Following up the regular agenda-filled July meeting, DHSF members found it necessary to schedule a workshop on July 21 to agree on changes and to finalize the DHSF brochure.
James Leslie of Latta and of the American Red Cross was recently dispatched to Kentucky due to the floods. He was part of the team doing the damage assessed.
On July 27, an incident report was filed with Dillon County Sheriff’s Office by Buster Furniss of Dillon Muffler in reference to vandalism of vehicles on the property, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
EIGHTH DAY performed at Kemper Baptist Church recently. Eighth Day is a Southern Gospel trio based in Roebuck, SC.
The City of Dillon hosted an antique appraisal fair and silver clinic on Saturday. There were many great finds—some with sentimental value and some with monetary value, but everyone seemed to have a great time.
Our local teams are doing quite well in the World Series in Lousiana.
The Pee Dee Agriporium was discussed by Mayor Todd Davis at the July meeting of the Dillon City Council meeting.
The Dillon County BAR Association appeared before the Dillon County Council at their meeting on Wednesday to discuss a resolution the BAR passed about the Dillon County Courthouse.
