As I sat in what would be my home away from home for several days, I heard the sound of horns honking, engines roaring, and tires spinning on the very busy street that ran parallel to the hotel where I stayed.
In today’s issue, we welcome Dillon County’s newest industry, Wyman-Gordon. It is an exciting time for Dillon County as we grow and progress with this new industry, and it is an exciting time for our workforce as more jobs will be available for the citizens in our county.
The Humane Society of Dillon County held its inaugural Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, November 22, 2014, during the City of Dillon’s Holiday Goodness Bazaar. Fourteen chili cookers competed outside on the grounds of the Dillon Wellness Center.
There are at least two ways to look at the title for this column. One might argue that the readers will look at the title and be intrigued so that they would want to find out what the writer is talking about so in that sense, the title does what it is designed to do: capture the readers’ interest.
