On May 1, 2014, Todd Davis, Mayor, City of Dillon, signed a proclamation proclaiming May 5-11 Nurses Week in Dillon.
She is older than some but more active than most. Her centennial is a date she is sure to reach… soon. She exercises regularly by walking when the weather permits and has influenced other to take up the challenge. But perhaps her most outstanding characteristic is her memory. Seemingly she can recall nearly any important past moment in extreme detail such as learning to drive.
It’s official – USC Aiken has successfully achieved a new Guinness World Record’s Title for “Largest game of knockout (basketball)!” Thank you to all the faculty, staff, students, and members of the Aiken community that participated – you can now say you were part of a successful world record attempt.
The Communities in Schools of Dillon County held their annual scholarship fundraiser on Thursday.

The Dillon County Theatre has been awarded a one-time grant from the South Carolina Arts Commission for the purpose of installing a projector and retractable screen to enhance their future programs.
