The Isham and Mary Watson Descendants Association Reunion was held on Sunday, June 23 at Antioch Church in Sellers.

The District 10 Sub District-B AAA Dixie Youth Baseball Tournament, being played at the City of Dillon Sports Complex, began on Friday, June 28 with seven teams vying for the right to face the Sub-District -B champions in a best of three District Tournament to be held on Friday, July 5, at the Kiwanis Ball Park.

Dillon’s 8U All Stars fell 23-11 to Darlington in the first game of the 8U All Stars softball championship series on Wednesday, June 26, but won the second 6-5 on Thursday night after a rain delay to advance to the state championship tournament.
I’m happy to report that the 21st annual Letter Carriers Food Drive was a big success in Dillon! Once again, our residents looked into their pantries and gave from the heart, raising 35,000 lbs. of food donations to fight hunger in our hometown. This was an increase from last year’s total.
