Kenly Paige Owens, the 75th baby born in Dillon County this year at McLeod Medical Center Dillon has a better chance for a long and healthy life than earlier generations, thanks to 75 years of health advances, made possible in part by the March of Dimes. Kenly was born at 39 weeks on March 18, 2013 weighing 6 lbs. 11 oz. to Jennifer James & Corey Owens.

The Dillon Meat Center Reds inched closer to taking the second half title in the Dillon Kiwanis Dixie Youth Baseball program by defeating the Internal Medicine Hurricanes, 10-4, Friday evening. With two games left to play in the regular season, a win by the Reds (6-1) or one loss by the Hurricanes (3-3) and the Dillon Family Dental Giants (3-3) will send the Reds into a best of three games play-off tournament with the first half Champions James Lockemy Justice Rangers on Monday.
