Station Nine Retires Fire Truck
In 2007 the Station Nine (Oak Grove) Fire Department was given a 1978 GMC 1000 Gallon Pumper by Belvidere & Chappell Hill Fire Department in Belvidere, North Carolina.

Latta Action Does Not Pass The Smell Test
The recent action taken by the Latta Town Council does not pass the smell test. The fact that Mr. Barrentine agreed to continue taking the minutes of the meeting, after the council voted 4 to 3 not to renew his contract, and also agreeing to remain until a replacement could be hired speaks loudly about his character and his continued desire to serve the community.

Holiday At Heritage Park
I would like to thank our Latta Recreation Department for sponsoring Holiday at Heritage Park in Latta throughout the month of December. This was a great event for all, especially the children who had the opportunity to meet Santa.
