The Dillon Herald is teaming up with East Dillon Baptist Church for our annual Christmas toy and food drive for the less fortunate members of the Dillon County community.
Seniors Brody Smith and Jessica Munoz were recently named Lake View High School’s recipients for the 2011 Wendy’s High School Heisman Award.
Paula Yohe was on hand Friday night for the lower state championship game between Dillon and Timberland at Dillon’s Memorial Stadium.

Services for Marjorie Mims Griffin will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Services for Michael Wayne Turner will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Monahan Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
