Dillon Christian School’s first basketball game of the 2011-2012 season ended in a loss as the Lady Warriors fell to florence Christian 50-27 on Tuesday, November 15.
Dillon’s Jamie Callahan, who recently signed to play for the University of South Carolina after graduation, was named one of Baseball America’s Top 100 high school seniors this week.
The chase for a state title is still on for many teams throughout South Carolina this Friday, with several teams battling for the lower and upper state titles.
The Swansea Tigers will bring a 9-2 record into Dillon Memorial Stadium Friday to face the undefeated Wildcats in the third round of the State AA Lower State playoffs. It will be the first meeting of the two teams.

This week, the Eastern Carolina Community Foundation celebrates Community Foundation Week along with 700 similar organizations throughout America who collectively gave an estimated $4 billion to nonprofit activities last year. Dillon shared in a small portion of that.
Francis Marion University sophomore forward Alex Blandin and senior defender Adrian Williams have been named to the Peach Belt Conference 2011 Men’s Soccer All-Conference Team. Both were selected to the 13-member first team.
The 246th Army Band performed at the Dillon County Theatre on Sunday.
