On November 4, 2010, a banquet honoring William and Ammie Carmichael was held at Charity Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dillon to recognize them as the Adoptive Family of the Year.
The hearing regarding County Council Chairman Macio Williamson which was scheduled for Monday, November 15th has been canceled.
Dillon Christian School held a special Veteran’s Day ceremony on Tuesday, November 9.
A Veterans Day ceremony was held at the Dillon City-County complex earlier this morning (Thursday).
Thursday, November 11 is a day set aside to recognize and honor our veterans that have served our country so faithfully over the years. During this time, I usually try to write something about the men and women who have served this country in so many ways.
Randolph Gurley has been suspended from the office of Dillon city councilman. A copy of the executive order from Governor Mark Sanford suspending Gurley can be read here.
Thanksgiving remains the leading day for cooking fires, with three times as many cooking fires as an average day.
The Dillon Post Office has new hours effective Monday 11/15/2010. They will not change the amount of operating hours they service the public which is 6.5 hours a day.
