Possible funding solutions for Dillon County’s alternative school were discussed at the Dillon County Board of Education meeting on Tuesday morning.
The Board of Directors of First Bancorp (NASDAQ – FBNC), the parent company of First Bank, has declared a cash dividend of $0.08 per share payable October 25, 2010 to shareholders of record as of September 30, 2010.
Ms. Callie Jane McMillan of Dillon died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Clarendon County Hospital, Manning, SC, after a brief illness.

Services for Ernelius Ethel (Nita) Martin Curavo will be held Tuesday August 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation is 7-9 Monday in the funeral home.
Mrs. Curavo, 55, died Friday at her residence.
Alice Marie Edmonds, 53, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 in her residence.
Services for Houston Franklin Lane, Jr. will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon, SC with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home.
