Defendant Sentenced To More Than 18 Years in Multi-State Mother-Son Fraud Scheme
Quinae Shamyra Stephens, 41, of Douglasville, Georgia, was sentenced to more than 18 years in federal prison after she was convicted by a jury for multiple charges relating to a multi-state identity theft and fraud ring she was running with her son.

VIDEO: Dillon County Council Recreation Forum: A Dillon County Council meeting to discuss the recreation situation and other matters was scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday; however, only Councilman Stevie Grice (in person) and Chairman T.F. “Buzzy” Finklea (by phone) were present for the meeting. Since there was no quorum present and a meeting could not take place, a public forum was held to allow concerned parties in attendance a chance to voice their opinions.

Latta Mayoral Candidate’s Attorney Warns Of Legal Action If Election Proceeds As Voted On By Council
Tommy Morgan of Smith Robinson Holler DuBose and Morgan, LLC, the attorney for Latta mayoral candidate Teresa Mason, has sent a letter addressed to the Latta Town Mayor, members of the Latta Town Council, and the Latta Town Administrator advising them if the election proceeds in the format as the Latta Town Council voted that legal action will be taken.
