The Dillon County Council elected a new chairwoman and vice-chairman at their meeting on Wednesday.
Circuit Court Judge Kirk Griffin presided over a term of General Sessions Court in Dillon this week where multiple guilty pleas were accepted and bond hearings were held.
Rakeem Fletcher, a Dillon man charged in December 2023 with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and unlawful carrying of a weapon, pled guilty to those charges in General Sessions Court Monday by Circuit Judge Kirk Griffin.
Throughout the month of January, law enforcement agencies have been conducting operations within Dillon County that targets unlawfully run bars/night clubs that are within the county.
An arrest has been made in some motor vehicle thefts, according to the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
