DHEC Announces Expansion Of Vaccination Homebound Project To All 46 Counties
In its ongoing effort to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to rural and underserved parts of the state, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) is expanding its Vaccination Homebound Project to all 46 counties. The statewide program launched Monday, June 1 and will run through December 2021.

Governor Signs Feral Hog Transportation Bill
On May 17, 2021, Governor Henry McMaster signed House Bill 3539 – the Feral Hog Transportation Bill into law requiring hogs be properly identified when being transported. Feral hogs are responsible for an estimated $115 million in damage statewide each year.

Black Bear Visits Latta Schools (with video)
Latta High School and Middle School had a unique visitor Saturday morning, May 22. At 10:40 a.m. a black bear crossed Hwy. 301 in front of Latta High School and ran into the school parking lot.
