The Dillon County Council will meet Wednesday, June 24, at 4:00 p.m.
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) today announced 890 new confirmed cases and 3 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, and 14 additional confirmed deaths. There are currently 824 hospital beds occupied by patients who have either tested positive or are under investigation for COVID-19.
Run-off elections in Dillon County Council District One, Dillon County Council District Three, and in the Sheriff’s race for the Democratic nomination are being held today (Tuesday). As of lunchtime, voter turnout was reported to be very light across the county.

As positive cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 are on the rise in South Carolina, the state is increasing its goal of testing approximately 110,000 residents per month to 165,000 residents per month by the end of the year.
