Remembering The Source Of Our Greatness
Since this is the season when we celebrate the Declaration of Independence and our victory over the British Empire (that was the most powerful country in the world at that time), I deem it very appropriate and timely to dedicate my column today in an attempt to consider an issue that is very relevant to our Fourth of July observance.

City Of Dillon To Host Dixie Youth Baseball State Tournaments
Beginning Friday, July 5, the City of Dillon will welcome 24 Dixie Youth teams to Dillon with a meal at the City of Dillon Wellness Center followed by an Opening Ceremony to recognize the 24 teams.

Quilt Of Hope Presented To Local Veteran (with photo gallery)
James William “Jimmy” Brewer was honored on Wednesday, June 26, by the Quilt of Valor Foundation of Myrtle Beach who came to his home in Dillon to present him with a Quilt of Honor.
Camp Exploration Held At NETC
Camp Exploration, a summer day camp for rising sixth through tenth graders, is being held on the Dillon Campus of Northeastern Technical College Monday through Friday, June 24 through June 28.
