Dr. Phil Wallace was elected Mayor Pro-Tem at the Dillon City Council meeting on Thursday. The motion was made by Councilman Douglas Jackson, seconded by Councilman James “Bobie” Washington. The vote was unanimous.
New Dillon mayor, Corey Jackson, was immediately suspended upon taking office as mayor by Governor Henry McMaster. A copy of the order is attached to this post.
