Civil Court will convene at the Dillon County Courthouse on Monday, November 6th, with Judge Paul Burch presiding. Jurors are to report at 11:00 a.m.
When Hurricane Irma reared her ugly head and the Florida evacuees were fleeing, Nolan Eggert of Camp Grace in Fairmont, N.C., learned that there was a possibility that there were about 100 families at the Welcome Center with no place to go.
Rev. Dr. Larry Abraham, Assistant Pastor of Poplar Creek Baptist Church in Lake View, SC received an Honorary Doctoral Degree in Philosophy, Ph.D. from E.L. Ford Theological Bible College in Lake View.

Services for Sandra Maureen Haley Hubbell was held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Catfish Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home.
On September 12, 2017, the group met at the Dillon Wellness Center with fifteen active members from Dillon, Lake View and Florence, for the first meeting of the year.
